| Looking down on completed hangar. Sparrow hawk is ready to be lowered down on its trapeze. The "fuzzyness" of the image is due to the mesh that covers the hanger and living quarters. |

| Looking forward with spare Sparrow hawk stored in port side corner. Enlisted men's quarters are to the left. The men had windows that looked out on the hangar so they could keep an eye on things. |

| Note the remover wheels from one of the stored aircraft. They actually did this to save weight on the airplanes and thus increased their range and top speed! Since they only were meant to dock with the airships, no wheels were needed. | Here's a Sparrow hawk ready to launch. The Aircraft would be lowered first and then an electrical cable dropped to the pilot. The pilot would plug it in, start the engine, disconnect and then fly away! |

Here a Sparrow hawk is halfway deployed by the trapeze. Note the tail clamp to keep plane steady. What a view it must have been. Great job Ed! -Matt |
